For most in the Boston area the start of the New England Patriots season came last Thursday night when the team faced off in their first pre-season game against the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints (I like the way that sounds...well I don't know if I like it, but it's better then saying the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts...isn't it?) but for us here in Southern Connecticut it has yet to sink in that football season is officially upon us. Thanks to WCVB-TV we don't get the first pre-season game on TV down here. (Sidebar: have you SEEN the Channel 5 website? Did they go back to 1999 and steal it from the old millennium? YIKES!!! Love you guys, but update that thing will you?)Labels: Bill Belichick, Indianapolis Colts, Logan Mankins, New England Patriots, new orleans saints, Tom Brady, Wes Welker

It came down to another game winning drive for Peyton Manning. And to everyones surprise he threw a touchdown pass to the Saints. Timmy and Rubba Shoes huddle up to discuss the post game particulars and get a chance to check in with Scotty Dukes and Bobby Dugan for their take on the big upset for the Big Easy. Also a quick run down of the final scores in fantasy basketball and fantasy hockey. A quick reminder for sign ups as we get closer to the start of fantasy nascar and baseball as well. Would you like to get involved? Email us and let us know. Thanks for listening and have a great week.Labels: bobby dugan, Fantasy Baseball, Fantasy Basketball, Fantasy Hockey, Fantasy Nascar, Indianapolis Colts, new orleans saints, peyton manning, rubba shoes, Scotty Dukes, the big easy, timmy, uncle dukes

Then it's on to Boston sports where none of our teams can catch a break, well maybe with the exception of the Patriots who were pleased to discover that Tom Brady will not need surgery during the off-season...ahhhh at least a breath of air anyway.
With the NBA trade deadline just days away now (Feb. 18th) rumors are swirling around Ray Allen who is in his final year of his contract with the Green Team, we get birthday boy Scotty Dukes in on the show to talk Celts.
Adam even brought up the Bruins for a change and NOT for something good...the B's couldn't even fend off the lowly Hurricanes over the weekend and Adam watched every grueling moment of it on a visit home to MA.
All this and a complete fantasy round-up on the show this week.

Timmy opted out of the Patriots home playoff game this year and he also opted out of the 4th quarter of yesterdays game at Gillette because he heard there was a sale at Old Navy...it's true.Labels: 2010 WInter Classic, afc east, Boston Bruins, fantasy sports, Fenway Park, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots

Well, Tiger needs a mulligan. Ok, five or more. The Winter Meetings are not heating up for the Sox. Maybe it's because they are in Indianapolis. New England got it's first big snowstorm and the guys are finally back together on Thursday for the weekend preview. Timmy and Rubba Shoes are here to discuss the remains of the day. When will the Celtics hit a bump and will it include some bruises? Will the Patriots lose a 3rd straight game? Are the Bruins "the haves" and are the Canadiens "the hab nots?" All this and a special musical tribute to the guys favorite golfer...wait, is he still their favorite golfer. Let's find out on the Weekend Preview edition of the Wicked Pissa Dude Podcast. Thanks for listening and have a great weekend.theshow@wickedpissadude.com
