Celtics Still Winless on the Road

Going in to tonight's game I was optimistic, as I am every night when I watch the Celtics. They are so dominate at home, how can you not be. The question arises after tonights loss to the Cavs, why are they two different teams home and away. Literally they look like different teams. At home they shoot the ball very well. Away they can't find the bottom of the net. At home they are nasty on defense. Away they can't get a stop when they need it. You get the idea. The C's have been simply spectacular at home and have stunk on the road.

Tonight's game wasn't really about the Celtics stinking though it was about the Cav's making adjustments and now it's back to the drawing board for Boston in game 4. Cleveland realized that the Celtics weren't going to let Lebron beat them, so instead of him trying to shoot his way through the amazing defense of the Celts, this game he made the extra pass and found everyone else. Wally Szxzerbiak and Delonte West (as Bob Lobel would say, I wish we got guys like him) had monster nights.

So really the question is, what do the Celtics have to do in Game 4. The easy answer, don't stink. The more difficult answer is tighter defense and better shooting (easier said then done.) We need to see more from Ray Allen and Paul Pierce in Game 4. It's not really rocket science, although sometimes it seems that people make it that way.

Side notes: Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson rule. I know I should be watching the game on Comcast SportsNet to watch Tommy Heinsohn, but I like the ESPN guys and the crawl at the bottom of the screen. Either way, I really do like the Van Gundy and Jackson as color guys. They are funny and they actually talk basketball. Some color guys will be like, "Ya nice play by the Celtics there." Van Gundy and Jackson actually talk X's and O's...LOVE IT.

Delonte West 21 points, 7 assists, 5 boards- why can't we get guys like that (I know I already said that, but I felt it needed to be said again.)

The Cleveland fans seem to be alright. I can deal with them far better then the Hawks fans, they were exhausting. The PA announcer had to initiate the DE-FENSE chants, the crowd couldn't even figure that out. The Cleveland fans though "get it." While this is the only time I will give them credit, I thought it needed to be said.
