October is here and has brought the cold temperatures to New England. There is a bluster of mayhem going on here in the City of Champions. Will the Bruins indeed contend for the cup? Are the Red Sox going to dismantle the Angels again just because they always do? Will the Pats deliver the first loss to the crab cake capital of the world? Will Timmy and Gianina finally find the house they have been searching for? All these questions and more will be answered, well most of them will. So thanks for listening to the All New Wicked Pissa Dude weekend preview. Have a rant for the guys or just want to ask a question or pick a fight? Leave your best on the "Wicked Hot" Line - 339.368.6223 - Thanks and have a great weekend!theshow@wickedpissadude.com

I'll make this quick, because like you I want to bask in yet another championship for the city of Boston. This night was ALL Boston Celtics. I think the real question at the end of the night is, Kobe who? This game will be one that needs to sink in for a while before I can even put it into perspective. One thing I know for sure is KG and Rondo responded with avengence tonight. Kevin Garnett threw up one of the best three point plays in the history of the NBA Finals, without question.
Rajon Rondo was an absolute beast and I believe, on the biggest stage, at the biggest time, he has proven himself as the future of the point guard position for the Boston Celtics.
Rondo: 21 pts. 8 boards 7 assists
KG: 26 pts. 14 boards
Ray Allen: 26 points
There are a lot of stats that will set this game, this series and this team apart from the rest of Boston sports lore, but there is one thing that truly sets them apart, defense. You can't measure that on the stat sheet, but it's how they got #17.
Final Score: Celtics 131 Lakers 92

I don't think it surprises anyone that the Pistons are a good team, but it certainly has surprised me at how good they are. It seems as though everyone that touches the ball for the Pistons is a playmaker. Sure, the Celtics had a better record then the Pistons this year, not by much (Pistons were 59-23 and the Celts were 66-16) and certainly the talent on this Detroit team is even better then their record suggests. So imagine my surprise when we jumped out to a nice early 8 point lead. A cake walk again at home? Well not so fast.
The first quarter of this game was one of ups and downs. The Celts went on a run, the Pistons went on a run and back and forth we went until the buzzer sounded and the end of half score is Celtics 41 Pistons 40.
As a side note, this is why Boston is the City of Champions. As we are watching the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, the commentators are also mentioning how they were at Fenway Park last night for Jon Lester's no-hitter. This stuff doesn't happen in New York or LA. THIS is the City of Champions and we prove it night in and night out. I LOVE IT!
Back to the game and for me the headline of the half was Ray Allen. No he hasn't lit it up like everyone had hoped tonight, but he has become more agressive. He has taken the ball to the hole and knocked down a few, including a very pretty finger roll down the middle of the lane and Allen has also driven the lane and kicked it out creating for his teamates. I think the media should lay off Ray Allen and let him shoot his way out of this slump. Tonight, you can feel him clawing out of it and mark my words he is going to have a break out game #2 (maybe even in the second half, more on that to come.)
KG - 14 points, 2 assists, 3 boards
McDyess - 10 points, 7 boards
Pierce - 9 points, 4 assists, 3 boards
