So Rubba Shoes has a cold. He also got cocked over the head with a chair by his son Tyler. All in a days work at the Corey residence where wrestling apparently gets out of hand occasionally. They guys will discuss that fiasco along with the comings and goings on Yawkey Way. How are the Celtics doing and when can we expect a bump in the road? Have the Bruins got enough in the tank for the long haul? Where is Bobby Dugan and what does he think the Pats will do in Southern Canada (sorry) Buffalo. So many things have been lost since the last show. The Bills ability to manage the clock and retain possession of the ball. That's a shame. Actor Patrick Swayze lost his battle with cancer. The Bruins and the sport of hockey for that matter lost one of the greatest broadcasters this area will ever know, Fred Cusick gone at the age of 90. Unfortunately, Jerod Mayo might also be added to that list as well, here's hoping it is not for the long term. Well the guys are finally back from Gillette and in the Wicked Pissa Studios to put the wraps on the weekend that was. We'll find out what the bet was between Rubba Shoes and Scotty Dukes for the ND v. Michigan game. It's all here with a tribute to those that have passed with a song that also bodes well for those that stayed to watch the Pats come all the way back! The White Mountains of New Hampshire ate Timmy and his neighborhood buddies alive over the weekend or was it Gooch that did them in? Find out on today's show.

Adam and wifey headed north for a return to studio VT for a weeklong getaway. Well, it's a vacation for Adam, because life is a vacation these days, but wifey is hard at work keeping the lights on.

Oh right and there were some sports to discuss. The Red Sox dropped two of three to the Yankees to fall to 7.5 games back of the New York Yankees. It wasn't pretty and the final stretch of the season won't be pretty either if something doesn't spark this team into a win or two or ten.

The Patriots also dropped their 2nd pre-season game to the Bengals, but Timmy and Adam agreed that coach doesn't put a whole lot of stock in wins and losses in the pre-season. Bring on September 14th and the Buffalo Bills.

My friends, the change we need has come to America. No...I am not talking about Barack Obama (although that change is pretty cool too,) I am talking about the Bruins being in first place. That's right...I LED with the Bruins...WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

But, of course, that's not all that's on our minds this week with another episode of Wicked Pissa Dude Radio. We're talking New England Patriots my friends and a comfortable Matt Cassel in the pocket equals good things for the hometown team. Despite losing Adalius Thomas for the season, the Patriots are in good shape going into Thursday nights game.

While Timmy is off telling his weight loss story to a bunch of women, I will be basking in the glory that is steak tips and fat free hot dogs...ahhhh how manly. Seriously though, Timmy has graciously offered me a ticket to today's tilt between our NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS and the upstart Buffalo Bills. Wait a minute, this game actually means something? I guess it does.

Only one minor problem, all my Patriots gear is in the wash. I meant to wash it, I really did, but I got lazy last night and convinced myself that at least my sweatshirt was clean. I opened up the closet this morning and BOOM (ode to John Madden) nothing. I am a little annoyed. I managed to weasle my Beat LA tshirt and I even considered digging through the laundry to find my Pats stuff, but I decided that was not going to be pretty. So, for today's game,I will have to buy something at the Pro Shop and pay more then any of it is even worth.Enough of me ranting, what about the game? I have no doubt the crowd will be amped and high on Red Robin milkshakes so we'll be rowdy. Will Matt Cassel be equally as amped up? I think he will be. He's no Tom Brady, but he's not an idiot either. He knows the ramifications of this game and if he forgets, I think Tedy Beercan will hit him in the gut, because Bruschi aint goin out like that!!

President Bush has signed a bill honoring the late NBC newsman Tim Russert by naming a stretch of highway in New York after him.

The portion of U.S. Route 20a is close to Buffalo, the hometown of Russert, the host of NBC's "Meet the Press" and its Washington bureau chief, who died of a heart attack June 13.

Designated the "Timothy J. Russert Highway," the span, located in Orchard Park, runs near Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills. Russert was an avid sports fan who was passionate about the Bills, his hometown football team.
