Who would have ever thought that on September 3rd, 2008, Red Sox Nation would be chanting, in unison, "here we go Yankees, here we go!" Ok, maybe we're not chanting that and maybe we aren't even close to really cheering on the Yankees, but for one late summer evening we put aside our hatred for our 3rd place foes and root them on to win ONE series and that is it.

After the Red Sox won this afternoon in a stunning come from behind win, it is time to turn our attention to the Trop for a series against the first place Rays. As I write this, the Spankmees are leading 3-1.

Is it sacrilige to root for the Yankees? Maybe it's one of those, don't say out loud type things? Obviously I am not rooting for the Yankees, I would just like to see a string of wins here. So far so good. Should the Rays lose tonight, the Red Sox will be 3 games back and provided everything goes according to plan this weekend in Texas, we could find ourselves only one or two games back when the Rays take the field at the Fens.

So tonight and tomorrow night, we won't exactly be rockin' the pinstripes, but let that little voice inside you root for the moustache and the traitor and hopefully all will line up for a mid-September first place takeover by our beloved Red Sox.

Fresh off a weekend trip to the Green Mountain State (Vermont for those of you not familiar with Maple Syrup and Cheese) it is Wicked Pissa Dude Radio. We hope you had a great 4th of July, ours was Ya Dudetastic and we thought we'd share some of the moments from that on Wicked Pissa Dude Radio.

Also on the show this week, instead of a 4 game sweep which looked inevitable at the end of the day on Friday, the Sox had to settle for a split at Spankmee Stadium. Leaving me with no interest in ever seeing the Spankmees again and also not winning the six pack I bet my friend that the Sox would sweep.
