    Spring is in the Air

Can you feel it? Can you smell it? Yes, It's that time of year. Pitchers and catchers have reported to spring training. When you start to think about another championship run. But how many baseball fans across the country can feel the same way? I know I shouldn't complain because the Red Sox benefit from not having a cap, but I believe that there should be a salary cap in baseball. We in Red Sox nation are excited for a new season to begin. A chance for another championship run.

What does spring training mean for fans of the Royals, Pirates, Reds and a bunch of other teams around the league? If you happen to catch lightning in a bottle, you may make it as a wild card team. What fun is that? By the beginning of May some of these teams will be out of the picture. Just remember the years of us saying that the Red Sox are ruining our summah. At least we had a spring. That's one thing I love about the NFL, every team has a chance, every year. Just look at this past Superbowl, how many people would have thought that the Cardinals would be there. I'm guessing not many.

I love baseball, it is the sport I grew up loving. The Red Sox consume me. I hate when I can't watch a game. Once the season starts I pretty much have something to watch on TV every night. Spring training makes me think of the weather getting warmer, when I can go outside and play catch with my son. Listening to the game outside by the pool, burgers and dogs on the grill and a brew in your hand lounging in the sun. I can't wait.

I would like to say one thing to Red Sox nation. Can we please grow up and stop with the "Yankees Suck" chant. I believe we are so above that now. Well that is just one person's perspective. I'm Rubba Shoes Corey, keepin' it real.
