A Long Road To The Finish

Having not followed this Lakers team through the season, I didn't know what to expect, but I figured a team lead by Kobe and coached by Phil Jackson was going to be ready to go and boy was I right. But, not surprisingly the C's were ready to go too, especially KG and the bench. The Celts need their bench to win this series. As much disdain as I have for Sam Cassell, he has really stepped up his game in the first half of game 1.

The one thing that really scares me about this Lakers team is not Kobe Bryant, it is their passing. They have been insane in the first half. Scratch that, Kobe has been insane in the 1st half. Does he have 30 points? No. But he is an incredible passer. It's only one half of basketball, but I am almost ready to say he is better then MJ. He's still not even close to Larry, but I'll give him MJ status.

Back to the lecture at hand. I love how Rajon played in the first half, he was agressive and didn't pass up open looks. He wasn't stellar shooting wise. He wasn't stellar with the ball and even his defense wasn't stellar, but he showed that he was ready to play to start the finals.

Phil Jackson is so annoying. I hate the "Zen" thing. UGH, get over yourself. He was interviewed by Michelle in between the 1st and 2nd quarter (don't get me started on the in between quarter interviews.) He didn't answer any of her questions he was just like, hey man, I just want to smoke a J and have tantric sex while Kobe misses shots, it's all good man.

    Kevin Garnett: 16 points
    Derek Fisher: 13 points

Now it's off to endure 20 minutes of Mike Wilbahn and Stuart Scott. EXHAUSTING!!
